Job Summary

Oversees and implements programs designed to foster meaningful engagement opportunities for families of current CC students. Collaborates closely with the Associate Director for Parent and Family Engagement & Programs, as well as key stakeholders and campus partners, to strengthen efforts that enhance family involvement

 

Responsibilities

· Coordinate, oversee, and execute engaging events for current CC families including Family Weekend, Summer Send-Offs, Legacy Receptions, and more, to foster a strong connection with the institution.

· Plan and execute orientation programs that support new families in their transition from high school to college, such as the CC in the Spotlight virtual series, New Student Orientation, and Winter Student Orientation.

· Develop and manage a comprehensive communications plan for CC families, sharing key campus resources, event information, and engagement opportunities through the CC Parent Portal.

· Support the Associate Director in establishing a robust parent volunteer program.

· Prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of leadership, programming, recruitment, communications and staffing

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least three years of experience in higher education, event planning, or a related field.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong skills in spelling, grammar, and basic business math.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds.

· Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment in handling confidential information

· Excellent organizational and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s degree in higher education or similar field.

· Experience with CampusESP, Blackthorn event management software, Canva, Qualtrics, Salesforce Affinaquest CRM, Emma email marketing, Momentus venue management, and Cascade website management or similar programs with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software.

· Background in parent and family engagement programs, with knowledge of industry best practices.

· Ability to articulate the benefits of a degree from a private liberal arts college.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

  • Band F; $56,116 to $67,337 per year EF
