Job Summary
Coordinates the day-to-day operations and objectives of Parent and Family initiatives. Assumes responsibility for the overall success of the program using skills in planning and assessment initiatives. Provides operations and administrative direction.
· Coordinates and administers all day-to-day operational activities associated with the Parent and Family initiatives to meet departmental and university goals and objectives.
· Designs and implements a curriculum of program offerings for parents and family members that includes live webinars and in-person events.
· Coordinates and executes signature parent and family programs such as the Welcome to FIU tent, Parent and Family Weekend, etc.
· Assists in developing partnerships throughout the University to attain program goals and objectives. Participates in various Division, campus, and university committees and represents Parent and Family Program and the department at various community and student functions.
· Serves as liaison between the Parent and Family initiatives participants and the university community.
· Monitors, composes, and prepares correspondence, memorandum, manuals, and reports using Microsoft Office.
· Establishes priorities, maintains functions, and assures compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and standards. Participates in strategic planning, staffing decisions, policy development, and other key areas.
· Performs other related duties as required or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.
Desired Qualifications: Experience working in Orientation and Family Programs, Student Affairs, or Higher Education.
